ama motow vs aaa with rv/moto coverage (california)

Post by Randall Marbach » Sun May 25, 2008 12:54 pm

Hi Richard My only experience is with AAA... I have the premium coverage with RV/moto coverage. I've used it 3 times for bikes over the past couple of years. First was a flat on the rear of the Valkyrie on the 210 freeway in Rancho Cucamonga, they came within 20 mins and towed me back to Honda of Glendale no charge. Second was when I woke up to a flat on the Valk in my garage.. towed to Honda of Glendale, no charge. Third was last month, I was riding my DRZ400 down Lone Pine Canyon (no cell service) when the bike sucked a valve. Hitched a ride back to my cabin where I was able to call AAA and took the car back down to where the bike was. AAA showed up in about 30 mins. Towed the bike back up to Wrightwood. I then used a harbor freight trailer that I bought from some Yahoo ;-) ;-) ;-) on this forum for the first time to tow the DRZ back to Burbank behind my Wrangler. That trailer worked great!!!..
