I can certainly see why following too closely is number 2. Most cars now have anti-lock brakes. The KLR's weak front braking system is dangerous in the modern era. Kawasaki fixed the issue on the 2008 but earlier models need the larger front rotor upgrade esp. if ridden on hiways or fwys. Jeffrey
