handlebar pouch

Is there a product that can be attached to the cross-piece of the handlebars for carrying small items? And as I write this I wonder whether there are reasons related to steering dynamics not to use that otherwise convenient area for storage purposes? Cyco-active.com carries map cases to attach to your cross bar, bur a bicycle store may have suitable pouches. DC Philip Campbell wrote:

Yes, I got one made for ATV's that says ATV LOGIC or something close. Fits great, holds my kickstandplate (elec box cover), small zip lock with a few things like mini flashlights, compass, key clip ect ect Mounted right over my "Crash Test Dummy" handlebar pad. I also have the ATV Logic one. It works great. I think I got it from JC Whitney or Dennis Kirk. They originally sent me the ATV Logic tank panniers. When I called them to have them ship me the handlebar pouch, they told me to just keep the tank panniers. They work great to throw over the seat behind the driver. I put a zip tie through one of the zippers and to the grab handles of the rack and have a perfect place to put my rain suit. Plus the lettering is green and matches my bike:) Matt B 06 GREEN ANTIOCH, IL

I'm using a pouch made to fit the sun visor of my car. It came with a velcro fastener that fits over the cross bar. Works good, looks good and the price was right. (cheap)

Howdy Juan and Tumu, It's just like old home week. Nice to see old familiar names on the list again. Fred http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com http://s1.zetaboards.com/arrowhead

Earlier I posted a request for some information pertaining to Baja. Several listers promptly responded with a lot of great information. Thanks to all who took the time to share your knowledge with me. A trip of a lifetime is definitely in the works. Cheers, Juan Villarreal [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
