I have had my vehicles with State Farm for as long as I can remember. The rates have always
been pretty good, not necessarily the lowest, but competitive. Only ever made one claim on a
motorcycle, for one that got stolen. Settlement was prompt and fair. They have been pretty
good on my cars over the years, except for more recently (a couple of years ago) when I had
to do quite a bit of legwork to recoup a decent settlement for my Astro. My sense is that they
have always been pretty fair with their insureds, but very thorny for third-party claimants to
deal with.
