Bill, I've been there by truck and by KLR. Great place to go, but might still be a lot of snow this time of year, or mud from the melt. There's a ranger station and airstrip out there, might not be manned yet. Here's some quick road info from a web site, I've been in from St. George and Fredonia (lots of washboard on that one): The Sunshine Route (BLM Road #109), is the easiest route to Toroweap. It leaves Hwy 389 about seven miles west of Fredonia and it is 61 miles from the highway to the viewpoint. The Clayhole Route (BLM Road #5) leaves Hwy 389 at Colorado City. It is also about 60 miles long. The Main Street Route (BLM roads #1069 and #5) out of St. George is about 90 miles long and is the most scenic. It is often impassable in winter because of snow on Mt. Trumbull. The small campground is way cool, though two sites right on the rim of the canyon are now day-use only. If you get skunked, you can backtrack onto BLM land, get lost, and camp where you like. Not much in the way of facilities out there. Four of us rode in several years ago for our last night out on a Utah adventure trip and two friends flew in with fresh food and cold beverages. Carrying them, their gear and some full ice chests over the ratty road into the campground from the airstrip was a challenge, but well worth the effort. __Arden
