Coincidentally, we had a tech day in Saint Paul the same day, froze our asses off hanging out in Paul Streeter's garage while it snowed outside. Four lever swaps were done. One broken spring, one broken lever. The lever on the '08 was intact as expected, but at 7000 miles, the spring was under only the slightest tension, with no visible gap between coils.
