I just installed a "California Scientific" shield, and it has a hole about 5 inch by two at the centre bottom of the shield, just to reduce the negative pressure, Have had no chance to use it, as the snow and ice have only left the street in the last two days, but the idea looks good, DC Greg B wrote:

torn carb diaphragm

Any Harley dealer. The Keihin CV40 used on big twins uses same diaphragm as the KLR's CVK40. One of the most common mods for Harley owners is to junk the "Jap crap" Keihin to replace it with a 'merican carb. Most Harley mechanics have a drawer full of Keihins that they have pulled from customers' bikes. You can probably get a whole carb for $25-$50, worth it as most of the parts are the same. See http://johnbiccum.smugmug.com/gallery/1673602_oTgsG#82033214_B3gBC for pictures of Harley's Keihin CV40. I thought I was careful, but I suppose I tore it myself. Where is the best place to get a replacement?
