progressive rear shock combo

Post by hill_buster » Wed Apr 16, 2008 4:31 pm

My stock shock with an upgraded spring is leaking oil. I am presently looking at the progressive 420 series (with 500/560 spring) as a replacement. Other than price I would like to get some feedback on the above mentioned combo ie does it require frequent repairs, do repairs take long etc... Bike is used for long trips with less than 1% in serious mud. Thx Brian

Hi Mike, I pushed off this morning ~noon at 47F, ATGATT (except the vest) and it was a little tough. The Ree Heights had snow on them on Sunday was pretty much all gone now. Some in the ditches...the wind though was still pretty tough, as the earth is cool and wet and the wind be wicked cold. revmaaatin. 97 miles--96 miles wishing I had slowed down to put on the heated vest--ever greatful for Heated grips--thanks Jeff Saline.
