nklr - snow - a 4-letter word

Post by Mike Frey » Fri Apr 11, 2008 10:11 am

I see it on the radar. It's 68 here in eastern PA right now. Was in the 70s yesterday. ...I didn't ride, though. Work. Then more work. Oh well. Spring is here, it will gradually get warmer. Then all we have to worry about is rain. Derogatory / inflammatory / teasing commentary from our brothers in the West will be accepted on a time limited basis..........

improving my mileage

Good point @ the air filter - will check it just as soon as it stops snowing! Carb is bone stock, as is the rest of the bike. I run IRC dual-sport tires - great sticking power on the pavement and very adaptable in the soft stuff. As to my riding habits - I'm pretty mush in "old, slow-guy" mode most of the time - generally staying w/in 5mph of the posted limit, modest acceleration, etc. Best mileage I've gotten has been @ 48mpg.
