All, I got my Thermobob installed and all is well. I ran into something surprising that I thought y'all would be interested in. My hoses at the water pump were reversed. This is an 06 with 13k+ miles. I've changed the coolant once-without removing the hoses so I know I didn't screw that up. Reckon I just didn't notice the routing at the time. I just thought this might be something that others would want to check. Thanks to Bill Watson and his most excellent instructions, I got things, uh, lined out correctly. Steve Rankin

Reversing the hoses can happen when you change out a defective water pump seal. They fit pretty well in the wrong positions. If you didn't buy the bike new the PO (or his mechanic) may have had a dyslexic moment reassembling the pump assembly. If you did buy the bike new, well, that's kinda scary. __Arden --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "steve rankin" wrote:

I never made the trip again--after I bought the KLR. sigh. so many missed opportunites... Hope you all have fun. Looks like a hoot. revmaaatin. more snow tonight--6-10inches in the forecast
