2008 klr650 tall windscreen
Hi all. I've got a 2008 KLR650 with just over 400 miles on the clock. It runs well. So far, I've changed the oil and filter and installed the Happy-Trail PDF Nerf Bar kit with their skid plate and highway bars -- nicely designed and not to difficult to install if you first remove the fairings. I also purchased the UFO front fender and plan on installing it this weekend after experiencing a cross-wind that nearly took the handlebar out of my hands.
My question, though, is this: has anyone installed the "tall" windscreen? If so, how do you like it? Is it really a significant improvement in terms of deflecting wind blast when compared with the stock one? Any leads on a good price?
Thanks in advance for your help.
TC

I wonder what Fred's mechanical advisor REALLY thinks about KLR's?R -----Original Message----- From: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com]On Behalf Of Stuart Mumford Sent: Friday, April 04, 2008 3:39 PM To: No Reply Subject: [DSN_KLR650] RE: Re: "seller retaliatory feedback." on EBay NKLR > -----Original Message----- > > The couple times I have ordered, Fred picks up the phone, and I gave > him my card # over the phone and tell him what I want and it showed > up at my door a few days ( Remote area I lived in at the time ) > > Seemed simple to me. > > Dooden > A15 Green Ape > Fred Hink is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.
