gasoline leak

Need some help here folks! Got a 2001 KLR650. Due to illness, the bike
sat for about 22 months. Got some new rubber on it now. Ultra heavy duty
tubes, a set of Dunlop D-606s (darn they are LOUD) and am ready to go.
Put in some Seafoam, (probably too much,) which sat in the tank for a
few weeks before I filled the tank, and have been riding locally
since. Low on gasoline, I pulled over to switch to reserve. I had to
check which way reserve was, cause I've never used the petcock before.
When I put it on reserve, I noticed my finger picked up a little gas
from the bottom of the fuel tap assembly at the lever. In testing, I
noticed that when I moved the lever from on to reserve or back, I
would get a drip or two of gasoline from the same area. If I left the
lever alone, I don't see a drip. Still, I'm concerned as I don't
believe this is normal. Anybody have advice? In the part's diagram, I
see a Tap Lever O-Ring that could be the culprit. Ideas? Thanks in
advance!!

No top speed,, except when dogs and deer are present. People don't
see us. And ruts and logs will get us Every Time!!!!! Thanks Guys
