flat tire again!

Jake,
Are you putting a lot of lube on the tire when you change a tube?
That's the only reason I can think of for your tire to spin on the
rim and take the tube with it. You might try leaving off the nut on
the valve stem next time. At least that way if the tire spins it
won't rip out the valve stem.
What kind of tires are you running? What air pressure?

P.S. Your "Jacostarica" signature reminds me of a few days my wife
and I spent in Jaco Beach late in the last century. Nice place, but
it was the only place in Costa Rica that we had anything stolen--our
dirty clothes disappeared from our car truck overnight while we
sweated beneath the fan in our room at Alice's Cabinas y Restaurant.
