Question - After all that effort, why would you sell? Have you just discovered girls? Note : Dont go down that track. It could be an adventure ride with an unhappy ending.
Love to get yours or the new owners opinion on the fork conversion, gearbox mods, and that pumper carby.

2 KLRs for sale. Here are the details.
Pics are at: http://s264.photobucket.com/albums/ii173/afmcgraw/KLR650s/
2003 Kawasaki KLR650 $2500
43,000 highway miles. WIDE RATIO KL600 transmission, DRZ400E forks,
dual piston front caliper, Progressive Suspension rear shock, Renthal
bars, Acerbis Rally Pro handguards w/ spoilers, grip heaters, IMS "5.5
gal" tank (7 total gallons), Saddleman gel seat (1 ride on it), skid
plate, Dual Star LED tail light, Eagle Machine Doohickey, F1 brake
pedal bracket, Moto Sport Panniers racks with plastic 25mm ammo boxes,
White Brothers XCR muffler, stock CV carb with KLX needle, dyno tuned,
Excel rear rim. Oil changed every 3,000mi.
You'd be hard pressed to find another KLR with this transmission
(except for my other one for sale). It requires complete disassembly
of the engine to install. With it's lower 1st gear, you can run 16/42
gearing that lets you cruise at indicated 80mph at less than 5000 RPM
(and 45-50 MPG), and still have plenty of pickup at slow speeds.
The bike has some cosmetic damage from a low speed lay-down. Otherwise
it's in pretty good condition. Low price because of the miles and
minor damage. The accessories are easily worth the asking price. $2500
firm.

1995 Kawasaki KLR650 $2500
30,000 miles. WIDE RATIO KL600 transmission, CRF450R upside down
forks, Talon hubs and Excel 17" supermoto rims with street tires, kick
starter, fat bars, Acerbis supermoto fender, Eagle Machine Doohickey
with torsion spring, Mikuni TM40 pumper carb, White Brothers E2
muffler, custom headpipe, White Brothers pegs.
You won't find another KLR like this. The pumper carb makes this thing
rip! It isn't the prettiest KLR ever, as the effort was put into
performance. Most of the balancer components are new, the clutch is a
brand new old-style to accommodate the kick starter (new
basket/hub/plates/discs). The wheels go for at least $1200 new, and I
have seen used mystery engines go consistently on eBay for $500+. The
speedo/tach are not installed since the CRF450R front end doesn't have
a drive gear, the bike needs a new battery, and one of the number
plates is missing. I still have most of the original components. $2500.

I also have a '98 cylinder with a stock bore that is scored that I
bought planning to do a 685 big bore. It should clean up fine at that
overbore. I have a complete head with 1mm oversize valves (head,
valves, springs, cams, head cover). The springs are made by RD and are
very heavy. Stock springs would likely be adequate. I have never run
this head, and can't make any claims about it. I do know that the
valves seal pretty well.
If you take both bikes, I'll throw in all the extra parts I have
(engine and otherwise). It would be great to get rid of both at the
same time. I live in Encino, CA and the bikes are currently at my work
in Yorba Linda, CA. Depending on the response, I might bring them
home. This ad is going on the Yahoo group first, it'll go onto
craigslist and others if they don't sell here.
Email is the best way to contact me since I don't check forums all the
time. afmcgraw1@...
