Hello fellow dual-sport riders, Myself and two good friends are planning to ride from Portland, Oregon to Moab, Utah this summer on 650 dual-sports. We will have about ten days to two weeks to complete the trip and we plan to spend about three days at Moab. If necessary we can take the interstate back home if we run out of time. The dates have not been determined. Possibly early July. I'm posting this to several groups in hope of getting multiple responses. Does anyone have some good suggestions as to riding routes, GPS routes, must see places, service stops including possible break downs (Kawi and Honda dealerships or mc mechanics), good camp sites, reasonable motels, good bars/taverns or anything else your experience can offer? We are all of moderate skill level. We're looking for lots of gravel roads/two track and back roads with plenty of twists, turns, scenery and elevation changes. Thank you for any ideas/thoughts.
