master cylinder guard install question

Post by eddiebmauri » Fri Mar 07, 2008 1:37 am

Hi all, I seek tech advice please concerning the installation of some Farkle. I bought on ebay (item no. 200205273980) a "Master Cylinder Guard", an after market Farkle that fits over the (rear) brake master cylinder, and protects the brake master cylinder and the fittings. So, my question is, to install a Master Cylinder Guard, is it simply a bolt on item? Or do I need to use a torque wrench to install the Master Cylinder Guard? And, if a torque wrench is needed, how many pounds of torque? Anyone got a clue on the installation of a Master Cylinder Guard? And, is there a negative side to installing a Master Cylinder Guard? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Eddie (03' KLR - "la poderosa")
