For sure I had to take an inch out of my sidestand when putting lower links on my '00 about 5 years ago. Changing the links change your ratio putting more pressure on the spring. I had to go to a 425 LR Spring < Think that what it was anyway , twas a long time ago. But then I did a rear fender removal as the tire was catching the fender anyway on the hard bumps with my 240 pounds on it. Ended up going back to stock links after a bit ( had to put that inch back in the sidestand too ) to make extra clearance for the centerstand. I ended up just putting more sag in the bike for the balls of my feet to reach on either side with the corbin flat seat. On my '00 , with the front lowered up to 1.5 inches I had no interference problems.
