On Sunday night my KLR was stolen from in front of my apartment building.
It was a '95, but it had the olive drab plastic from the '02 (sanded
down so no decals) and an olive drab IMS tank. The seat was a black
military surplus, so no "KAWASAKI" logo on the seat.
I love that bike. I don't expect to see it again, but, you know, if
anyone sees anything suspicious...
Thanks.

Police found mine four days after it was stolen out of
my driveway, so it can happen. Make sure the cops
have the right VIN; get them to read it back to you.
My guys had transposed some numbers in the report and
I'm sure correcting that made all the difference in
restoring it to me. Good luck!

Sorry to hear that. It sucks.
I know this doesn't help now, but I installed an alarm on my KLR. Certainly
not 100% effective, but might help. If someone wants it, they will get it.
I think the best alarm is a pit bull and a 12 guage.
