On Sunday night my KLR was stolen from in front of my apartment building. It was a '95, but it had the olive drab plastic from the '02 (sanded down so no decals) and an olive drab IMS tank. The seat was a black military surplus, so no "KAWASAKI" logo on the seat. I love that bike. I don't expect to see it again, but, you know, if anyone sees anything suspicious... Thanks. BE A9, SF

Hi ,sorry to hear that. I 'll keep my eyes open I live in Sf in the mission district,my KLR live outside too . I installed a remote alarm system a while ago .I 'd hate to get it stolen.Was your bike locked or chained ? Police found mine four days after it was stolen out of my driveway, so it can happen. Make sure the cops have the right VIN; get them to read it back to you. Sorry to hear that. It sucks. I know this doesn't help now, but I installed an alarm on my KLR. Certainly not 100% effective, but might help. If someone wants it, they will get it.
