Dana, It's near downtown, about 10 blocks east of Petco Park. You could also say it's a few blocks from the east end of the Coronado bridge. Tool needs depend on what you goal is. It's best to make a prioritized list of what you want to accomplish. A couple of good sized tasks and a small one are usually doable. Sockets and drivers for them in 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 17, 19, 22, 24, 27mm will do most anything. If you don't have all of those, don't worry. I've purchased a few sets of tools specifically for tech day. Combo (open/box) wrenches in 10, 12, 13, 14, 17, 19mm will be useful. A set of needle nose pilers and channel locks might be handy. I have lots of zip ties. all the best, Mike

Yes. the carb, anyway. Not the stock tank.

Probably not, at least not using the engine to power a motorcycle....Someone, somewhere in the world may be using a KLR engine running propane to run a generator or a sawmill.

I think what Dave is trying to say is LP is not stored at room temp and pressure. You don't just pour it into an open container like a gas fuel tank. It is stored at high pressure to liquefy it so you can carry enough to make it worthwhile. Think of the tank you use for your BBQ grill. What is it, 1000 PSI or so?? I think our cars at work that run on natural gas have something like 3000 psi tanks in them. Think welding cylinders! It takes a very special fuel pump to fill the cars. Basically, if you are asking a basic question such as this, you are nowhere close to being able to do it. No insult intended, just a warning that you will be in waaaaaaaaaaaay over your head.
