You know, I've been reading about all these low temperatures that
people have to endure, then I see by the tv weather cast that it was -38
C here last night, (about -37 F), and tomorrow the expected high is -30
C, (about -20 F), but on Friday it should reach -20 C (about -3 F).
I have a Bull Terrier who has some awful decisions to make about the
great outdoors too, but she is learning to be pretty quick about things.
I'm waiting for the heater parts for my mighty steed, but I have
been waiting since 2000, so perhaps I should give up on that line of
thought.
I have certainly enjoyed reading about the Oil Change Interval
ideas, there seem to be some pretty good notions in among the emails.

The worst accident I ever had in the spring of '86 was a rear ended
at a stop sign on a dark and rainy night. Was left in the ditch on
the other side of the road for dead while whomever run off. Lucky,
the car I was waiting for stop and called 911. Didn't get an ID on
the car cept it was an old dark car like an Olds or the like. I come
too in a hospital about 14 miles north of the accident site and was
looking at the faces of 3 friends, The Fire Chief, Doctor on call and
the amb. driver. Then I knew something was not right , me being on my
back and them staring at me. I quickly asked about my bike ( '82
Yamaha XV920RH ) and they said " Don't worry about it. How do you
feel. " They later told me I said fine, get me up and passed out
again for a few more hours.
I ended up being badly sprung and brused up with a good concussion
thru a good full hat. Had A vertigo problem really bad at first and
then over the next 3 to 4 years it tapered to zero and I started
riding again about 5 years after the accident. 150,000 miles later
and I'm still riding about the good old US of A and loving it.
But I watch my 6 one heck of a lot closer after that.
