I'm one of those cheap BMW riders. I just bought the IRC GP1's to try on my KLR

That's as much as Mefos cost. How do you afford those tires? He has "bmw" in his mailing address, which should be a clue (heh!). For me, I just ride the TKC-80's when I'm going to be dirt+highway and need good manners on both. If I'm commuting or otherwise putting lots of miles on my bike, I swap to other tires. $183 once a year is quite doable. $183 every three months... well, at that point, I would definitely look for a less expensive way to get to work. Curious to hear what you or anyone else thinks about the IRC GP1s as I'm contemplating on trying them next. I've only ridden stock tires, Pirelli S/T's and Gripsters so far.
