free klr stuff
Sort of. You agree to pay me actual shipping costs to you, that's it. I
just want this crap OUT OF HERE.
So first person to email me gets it:
1. Stock fork springs (less than 100 miles on them before replaced with
progressives)
2. Stock rear spring (less than 500 miles on it before it was replaced
with a progressive)
3. Stock handlebars (less than 500 miles on them before they were
replaced by Renthals)
They're in good shape, some of the stock clutch-side grip still on the
bars, needs to be removed.
This junk has been taking up room long enough. You want it, email me.

Hell of a nice gesture Tim!
Glad you're still with us too!
Thought that you got rich and decided to buy a 950 Adventure or
somethin there for a minute!
Cheers,
Rod

free klr stuff
After years on the west coast, I am moving back to
Utah, where I was raised. Now I'm trying to lighten
the load for the move. Here are some KLR items I have
accumulated that I want to get rid of, they are free.
They would require showing up in person, I don't have
the time or motivation for shipping. They are located
in San Francisco, in the Outer Sunset District:
OEM front fork springs. Removed from my '00 @ 7k.
Replaced with Progressives. Because of time and
humidity, there are a few small rust spots, nothing
that couldn't be buffed-out.
2 seats: These were free Craigslist items I didn't
use. One is a Corbin, it has a "scooped" seating
section towards the rear. I'm not sure if it is black
leather or vinyl. The seating area material is pretty
thin, towards the front/tank area, the foam is showing
through. It's going to require some tape or replacing
material. The pan is in very good shape.
The other seat is some sort of aftermarket foam/gel
padding which is pretty hammered. The pan appears to
be OEM, one of the bolt brackets is a little bent, but
it is intact. Either one could be used as a base to
build a new seat if you know how or pay for it.
1 rear TKC-80: ~3-4mm of tread. Maybe a couple of
thousand miles of use left.
That's it, nothing terribly exciting, but it's free!
Let me know if interested.
Here are a few NKLR things, free or cheap, in case you
are in the area and looking:
Pair homemade speakers with 10-12" woofers. They are
old, one of the tweeters is blown.--Free
If you know of a charity or good cause in SF, please
let me know, I have a older but nice PC setup to give
away.
Happy New Year,
Charles Earl

running lights
Posted two pics in an album creatively named KLR_LEDs. One is a
close-up of the LEDs from the side showing mounting position. Note
that I couldn't decide on the upper or lower "corner" of the lens for
mounting so did one of each. The second shot is with the LEDs lit and
the headlight disconnected, from about 60ft. Both shots were with
flash, around 10pm with a just couple of street lights. The car lights
are just reflections of the flash. The LEDs are quite bright when
you're looking at them on axis, get off-axis and they are not as
bright but still noticeable. If you really want to be seen mount some
more aimed laterally. I'm getting some red ones for the rear.
