100.000 miles from home
Yes, I think I will average out abt. 7000 yearly too.
So 100K is way off, perhaps I was thinking 100.000
kilometer, which is abt. 60 K miles. The dirt bikes
do a cylinder job, and then install a slightly bigger
piston and rings. But they are aircooled, so probably
more wear and tear through the thinner, hotter oil.
With all the oil studies you can find, I think the way
you use your engine could be as relevant as the oil
you use. And how often do you change the oil, etc.
Anyhow, it will take me another 5 years to get to the
sixty thousand mark, damn thing might well outlive me!
Trade it in for a wheelchair would be another option.
Yes, it is an interesting experience to be under it,
with a leg pinned, and the engine hot. I think it
happened two times. I have been able to get it up by
myself, because there was no one around. It is
surprising how resourceful one becomes when there are
no other options. But not with luggage on it. But a
helping hand is mostly very welcome, as it can take
some time and about 125% of my strength to get it up.
How I get hold of 125% of my strength is still a
mystery, probably cussing and getting extremely mad
helps. The handlebar leverage seems to be the way
most rugged riders agree upon, a stick of dynamite is
the other way. A few reindeer pulling in the right
direction...? Try not to fall. Jake.

klr650: torsion spring
The extention spring on my Doo reached its limits.
When switching to the torsion spring is there a need
to change the Doo also ?
