master links

Now I get it, master links could work on old type chains, since they don t last long, but on the longer lasting new chains they are a vulnerable spot. It also comes to mind that one is not supposed to re-use them, one installment only. Dumb question, after I install the master link, big word for such a shitty tiny thing, could I hit the pins a bit, to rivet them, so the link would be more likely not to work loose? Just my stupid ideas. The safety wiring, what kind and size of wire would one use? Regular hardware store wire? On the metaphysical side, we would like the world to be an orderly, neat place, to play out our roles. It occurred to me it is more like an old fashioned carpenter shop, shavings and dust flying everywhere, the place is chaotic and sweaty, but the master carpenter is shaping the image he has in mind, Pinocchio! Not a body builing exactly, but more a shaping and forming of the inner-man. It is a messy process. If humanity eventually finds the time and will to devote itself to solving the energy problems, among others, they can be solved. Instead of Don Quijote like, making ugly, dirty mountains out of molehills, stirring the shit until the smell of bad feelings, hatred, bigotry, and religious intolerance is overcoming and blinding us to the true picture. Do we ever learn? I have had it with the wood shavings and the dust, cough cough. Jake. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing.
