My article on riding the Newfoundland Rail Trail is coming out in this
Saturday's Toronto Star Wheels section.
It should also appear in their website, at

However, there won't be nearly the visual impact as pictures are minimal on
the website as apposed to the print edition. Happy reading!

Nicely written and sounds like a fun ride. You're correct there isn't
much visual impact other than your written descriptions. Only one
picture at the start of the article.

Thanks to all for the response on the Pelican case mounting
question. Weird, 4 different links to the same post.
Had planned a crabing, shrimping, bottom fishing, deer and bear
hunting trip for today and tomorrow. Sky so blue, surrounding
mountains capped with fresh snow, makes you forget the other 320 days
of the year that it does rain.
Gear, boat prepped, supplies ready, got to bed about 2am. About
4:30am phone rang. The kindest man from the kindest family I have
ever had the good fortune to know on the line. Two words only "Blairs
dead" His nephew whom I've watched grow up for nearly 20 years was
killed in Iraq yesterday.
Between my friends' family; three brothers, his wife (still in
Kandahar)nephews, nieces they account for nearly 150 years of
military service to date. Five family members in current active duty
units.
For his family and mine the sun will not shine again in Ketchikan for
a long time.
