recommendations on tires for a ld road trip?

Tom, I went to college at Paul Smiths , NY, just about twenty miles noth of Saranac Lake. I wish I had my KLR when I was at school to explore the back roads of the Adirondacks, beautiful country, but the 30 to 40 below zero for a coiuple weeks at atime was no treat. Snow coming this weekend in NH, the bikes are in the warm cellar, and the plow truck is full of gas. The earliest snow I remember was 3 inches on the ground when we woke up Sepember first.
