jingas...correct fork oil level?
Hi all.
1. Service manual says after disassembly and dry, 422ml +/- 4ml per
tube. This is confirmed by measuring 190ml from the top of tube with
the force FULLY EXTENDED.
2. Marknet.com is saying same 422ml but measure with forks FULLY
COMPRESSED. http://www.klr650.marknet.us/forkoil.html
Which is it? I followed the Service Manual and dumped 500 ml already
into one tube noting it's NOT enough with forks full extended. It
measures roughly 380mm from the top tube--so way short of the 190mm.
I'd have to dump a lot more oil to make up this 190mm (380-190)
shortage, but I only have 1 litre/bottle of fork oil. WTF??????? Need
some professional help/opinion from the KLR brain bank. Thanks in
advance.
