I was looking at the write up on installing acerbis disc covers for a
suzuki DR250S-DR350S
Where does one get the disc covers for the suzuki. I did some quick
research and it looks like Suzi made the DR250S-350S from 90-94..so the
disc covers for them are probably even harder to find than the KLR650
covers.

I was thinking a simple "Step away from the bike" would do!
You shouldn't have to heat the part to get them to fit. Press the
bearings in with a vise, using grease to keep the needs in place if they
are a loose fit into the races. Even a hammer with a proper sized socket
as a space will do, but the vise allows more precision and less impact,
which can be fatal to bearings. NEVER push/beat on the inner race of any
bearing.
I've never worked on a bike pre-'84, but I've yet to see a linkage
without bearings. Grease fittings are great, yes, but the only true cure
is an occasional break down and clean/repack. Don't wait for linkage
bearings to fail, a little PM goes a long way. A 55 gallon vat of grease
can be ruined by 1 grain of sand...........
