Picked up the Versys last week, what a blast. Same riding position as
the KLR. Much more aero dynamic, tons more power with no vibes. In the
first 100 miles had the tires scuffed all the way to the edges with no
wobble or breaking loose. Much less upper bike weight than the KLR.0
off road capable. So far I like it much better than the V-Strom I had.
I will be keeping the KLR as well, different bikes for different rides.

new versys
Can you tell me why you prefer it to the V Strom? I hear nothing but
raves about the Suzuki.

Thanks for letting us know about this deal. I ordered a pair and they came in on Friday. I tried them out this weekend but they seemed rather slick on the OEM footpegs. So I grabbed the DR650 footpegs and springs that had been sitting in my "To-do" drawer for a long time, and put them on. I had to radius the left footpeg slightly to make it fold up right, but no biggy, just a little grinding with a dremel. I was somewhat dubious as to whether this would actually accomplish anything, metal is slicker than rubber, right? But riding to work this morning it was like I had glue on the bottom of my feet, the ridges in the sole gripped the metal ridges like glue. Definitely a worthwhile mod at least with these particular boots. Now to break them in -- I'll be riding them all this week, then next week Death Valley here I come!> > Listers, > > Oxtar boots have recently been put on closeout at www.newenough.com . > They have limited sizes and quantities available but great prices if the > boots are your size. > > I suggest folks consider the Oxtar Infinities for a good dual sport boot.
