Does anyone have any experience using a "hot glue gun" and plastic
rods instead of glue sticks for plastic repairs? I talked to someone
who mentioned working on his kayak this way but, I failed to get any
details. I have used scrap plastic and a pencil soldering iron to
make repairs but it is tricky to not "burn' the plastic as you work.
Using a hot glue gun and plastic rods sounds like a better solution.

I have used a hot glue gun for other stuff and it makes a strong
bond. I would experiment before using on your plastic. It might not
make the prettiest bond for you. But hey, who said KLR's are supposed
to be pretty.

advice - airlock?

Hi everyone,
Just to let you all know what I found out.
It was the carb diaphram. It must of started with a small tear and
got worse over time. I finally had the time to deal with it and is
now replaced and running fine.
It sucked not being able to run WOT even when in traffic and don't
do it much.

The last message i posted in reply did not make it......have you tried
plastex from plastex.net? i have used it to repair broken mounting tabs
with success.
