Just purchased a 2002 that runs good but look a little rough. The battery is leaking. Should I get the Odessy battery or just a regular non vented battery? The front end seems to wobble or feels lose when I hit about 80, does it need bearings, or am I just out of shape. I used to drive my old klr600 to the max at 112 mph. And of course what is the first thing to increase the power? Thanks!!

The first thing is not to drive that fast until you've done a through safety inspection. WOW 112 mph. I never would have thought it possible but I don't have much of an imagination. Don R100, A6F

The Odyssey is a very nice battery, but if my battery were leaking I'd want to replace it ASAP. As such, the Yuasa AGM sealed battery is widely available at local retailers, so that's what I'd go with. (I think the FAQ has the exact Yuasa part number.) It's a great battery anyway, and I'm not sure the Odyssey has that much value over it for most folks.

Assuming stock springs, your front end probably has too much sag. Check out http://dirtrider.com/tech/141_0411_set_up/> for instructions on how to set the sag. Also, with old stock springs that have "taken a set" your free sag probably won't be right once you get the static sag set correctly. Since the address is a blatant ripoff of a long established site you'll get some traffic. Much of it very unwelcome. ADVRiders play rough. They eat their dead.
