Howdy to the group!!
I just got done with a 160mi. ride consisting of dirt roads and two
track trails in 50mph. winds out of the north. I road my klr650 to my
20th yr class reunion. I had a period of free time and my new doo had
just came in the mail so I took my tools with me and did the doo down
there. It went real good, although I split a Crafstman 19mm socket
breaking loose the flywheel bolt. Rode it 50mi. in some good heat
everything looked good, so today I took off and headed for the barn at
about 2:15pm. A big cross wind was a blowing and not much fun on
pavement (cars and trucks in Montana on secondary roads and highways
like to travel at 70-80 mhp. go slow on a bike... get ran over) so I
always wanted to see if I could get home just by traveling on dirt. I
made it, took till 8:00pm saw alot of neat stuff, ran over three
snakes, one gofer, and I belive a big tape worm from a cows ass. I had
a rattle snake on one of the slower two track trails strike and bite
the bike. And was on two differtent roads that had washed out the day
before in a massive storm. The bike rides soo good I like it even
more, I just don't understand why I didn't buy one sooner. I just told
a friend when I got home how immpresed I am with it and that my Honda
was for sale. I think he will buy it tomorow. WOW WHAT A BIKE!!! Just
thought I would share a tale.
See ya on the road or trail,
