lurker un-lurks

Hey All- I've been lurking on this list for 9 months (give or take a week) and finally decided it's time to say hi. My friend Kenny Green has inquired on my behalf a couple of times, and I am the one who owned the bike he did the valve job on, which got stolen 2 weeks later.
Well, I finally have the opportunity to install the doohickey we bought to install on that bike - just got a primo '99 with 4000 miles on it. I can't wait to put the miles on it.
Just gotta address the saving money on gas question: The only reason we ride KLRs is they are great bikes. Why not just admit that and ride. (smart, safe and hard!).
