I just bought a weather proof power outlet from my
local Canadain Tire store. It was designed for a
pick-up truck bed so it has a mile of wire.
I want it for powering my GPS, battery charging, etc.
Can anybody offer an sugestions for where to connect
into the electrical system so it is fused or must I
buy a separate fuse holder?
Dave, in Ridgeway

Dave,
I am not able to advise you on where to connect but I saved this
related link and thought it might be of use to the list and wanted to
share it.

Good luck with the project.
Best regards,

I'd recommend fusing the outlet separately, as you don't want to
accidently disable some other bike functionality by popping a shared
fuse (fan, main electrical system, etc.). I'm partial to Posi-Locks,
and they have a nice inline fuse holder for ATO fuses as seen at
http://www.easternbeaver.com/Home/Main/Products/Posi-Lock/posi-
lock.html>.

And yes, I realize I was over the GVWR. Just saying that it ran fine.
