Hi Group. This is Bill in Puyallup WA. A new member with another
KLR. My last was actually a 1990 Tengia. I was wondering if anyone
makes and/or sells a narrow shelf to fit at the base of the wind
screen. Has anyone a suggestion? I want to mount a multicolor LED
from Electrical Connection to monitor battery voltage and a switch for
heated hand grips

Check out the dash at

work well.

Bill, I agree w/ the others' suggestions, but would add that you can make one really
simply. If you only want one for a few switches why shell out? A piece of light alum bent
w/ a 90 degree angle and a few holes does the trick if you are on a budget. I have an HT
and, while I like it, would either buy the Duchin (sp) or make my own simple one in
hindsight. The one actual disadvantage of the HT that the others may resolve is room to
reach in and control small dials/switches w/ thicker (ie, winter) gloves on. My elect jacket
control is too tight using the the HT hole positions.

Does anyone else wear this jacket and have the shoulder and elbow pads?
Or are they worthless?
