i assume the archives are still broken, because all your questions are answered there in lurid detail. if they aren't broken, go search 'em. if they are, then here's the reader's digest large-print summary of what i remember: 1. cobra sucks pondwater. everyone who bought one hated it and thought they wasted their money. 2. big gun is LOUD!, but beautifully made. ca stu has some thoughts on his. apparently the quiet version is tolerable now. 3. supertrapp is okay. i have one (IDS2). it seems to work fine, but i got a little annoyed at the noise with 12 discs, and with 6 discs i'm not sure it's any faster than stock. if i had to do it all over again, i'd probably just stick with stock. if you want to go faster, buy a bigger bike (or a lighter bike). mw

I like mine, it is louder than shiznit, but if you get the USFS sparky "quiet" core, and keep out of the throttle , it's tolerable. If you want to wake the dead, put on the race core and give it some stick, you will be popping eardrums all over the neighborhood. It seems to give a lot more low end as well as a lot of over-rev, but I'm no rocket scientist... You do lose quite a bit of weight with the BG system over the stocker, also

I received word from Steve a week or two ago that the manufacturing facility he is dealing with has the pipes for KLR's just about ready. I'll spare you all the details but suffice it to say he some long standing issues appear to be on the verge of resolution. Quality Engine's site is in the archives. Apologies for he following NKLR request: I am trying to contact anyone in a purchasing management and/or VP level position with over-the-road and long-haul trucking comanies to discuss the possibility of a strategic partnership. I have been trying for two months and am getting no response. I don't have alot of experience in this venue. Can anyone point me at a resource? Thanks in advance. Installed a Big Gun exhaust, K&N air filter, and a DynoJet kit about 5000 miles ago. VERY happy with the results. I'd definately buy another Big Gun pipe. The Big Gun people even answer their e-mail. I got a used Two Bros racing can and melted the baffles so I drilled the rivets and just removed them, Welded it back together and now you can hear me coming from a mile away.. Perfoamance is better IMHO but I need to re-jet too. Dale
