Does anyone have a magneto puller that they want to get rid of? Do I need
the Kawasaki one or is there an aftermarket puller that will work.

Hey Larry,

Unless you want 437 rotor pullers, maybe you better let everyone know who you want to send you one.  Since we can't "reply to sender" any longer, I presume it was me that you wanted to send you the puller.

Ok so I now have the right puller but the f**king magneto is really
hard to remove. I'm allmost bending my wrenches trying to tighten the
puller so it does it's job. I tap on the puller with a rubber hammer
from time to time like the manual says but it's really hard to remove.

Is there a special way to do it? Or should I just call Superman to
help me out.

Thanks

 Mever mind..

Superman came along and wrenched the bolt in and CLACK the magneto was
loose. When it made that noise I allmost died. I thought it was the
bolt that snaped...... ooouuuffff..

I had the engine out of the frame so couldn't rest the magneto holder
on the foor peg like it says in the manual. It was all muscular
fiber... Superman's muscularfiber...

I'l have all the story on the balancer chain tensioner upgrade on my
site when the pictures get in..

who it was. Any of y'all have it?

I, too, have the *wonderful* Gerbing's jacket liner (77 watts at full volume). I'll run it on full when I need it, but I had to turn it down based on the voltage reported on my GPS (wired directly to the battery).

On my A19 I could run only about half-power on the jacket liner and still keep the voltage at 12.6 to 13.2, running 4-5,000 rpm going down the road. Running stock lights, no other accessories. GPS usage is negligible.

Have recently cleaned the battery terminals and topped off the water. Battery is from the previous owner, and is probably original. With the jacket liner turned off, the battery voltage stays in the 13.6 to 14 V range, and clearly shows the voltage regulator limiting it at 14.

Based on recent discussions, it seems I should have more power available, so I guess I need to poke around my wiring and made sure connections are clean and tight.

thanks,
Chris
