I think once you are past the old 1000 mile break in period, the synthetic stuff should be ok. I'm running Mobil 1 20w-50 since 1k miles at 3500 miles, clutch is tight as new.> a clear 'yes'. The last KLR loved it. > > Thanks, > Pat > Austin TX

I've run a couple Blackstones on various bikes (but not the KLR yet)
using this same synth and I know I could probably extend the drain
interval, but changes are relatively cheap and I like to be good to my
bikes as they are one of my favorite things in life.
