Dear Omnipotent KLR Wellspring of Truth, On my newest (used) KLR I open the air box and there sits a live squirel drinking a martini and he shouts at me to "shut the door buddy im freezing". Just kiddin. There sits a 2 piece filter on a plastic frame. Q. I this an oil base filter? If so do I oil both filters or just the one on the outside? What do you use to clean the filter prior to oiling it? Your reply is valued. Best Regards BW

I'm going to clean my current air filter for the first time. I want to buy a new air filter so I won't have any down time while my current one is drying. My question is this: Will a brand new foam air filter be ready to go out of the box, or will I have to soak it, or do any other type of prep work before being able to install it? Thanks.

You will have to oil it up and squeeze it out leaving the foam filter lightly oiled before installation. --Jim A-15

The Dual Star LED brake light works well, and is much brighter than the stock set-up. For extra braking visibility, I have one of Tammy's (Totally Wired Cycles) "third brake light" set-ups on my Pelican tail box. Having missed the initial email, I hope this was the general direction of the original post! Cheers.
