has anyone taken a ride from independnce area across the desert and through the high country to lake Tahoe...any route suggestions,maps,etc.

Jim, If only they made women as reliable as a KLR ... I was hot to Benton Hot Springs recently and it looks like a great spot for an overnight. Good enough excuse to put more miles of fun on your bike. Pat G'ville, NV
