scammer baiting

I scanned a copy of a Nigerian scammer check that I received this week for a friend's BMW I'm helping to sell. I loaded it the SCAMMER folder. It is absolutely a real check, unfortunately it is just worth the paper it was printed on. The asking price for his bike was $3400 and he sent me a check for $6400. He had no details about the bike, I never sent him a photo and I never revealed my telephone number, and he sent it to a POB, and it has a different name from the Dr. Jewell who I was corresponding with to get this trophy. On and off Dr. Jewell was confused about whether he was buying a car or a motorcyle. He got indignant when I told him I hadn't received the check after a week and he was going to sell it to someone else. He said he was going to be in my town on business and I told him I would love to meet him and see the smile on his face as he rode away on his new bike. He wrote back immediately to tell me his manager had cancelled his business trip and he was now in Belgium. I did all correspondence via a sockpupet email account. The check is made by a company called www.qchex.com that will automatically mail out a check for 70 cents to whoever you want. Presumably you don't even have to have funds to cover the check. Also it was post marked in the same zip code where I live. I don't quite understand how it all works, but you can order blank checks from their website. I got about a dozen email replies to two ads and not one was legitimate. All of them wanted to pay an excess amount with a cashier's check with the excess going to their shipping company. I'm baiting everyone of these guys for the trophy check. Now I'm going to email the good doctor and tell him my mailing company needs $50USD in cash to send his bogus excess funds to his shipping company. -svt- __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? What an awesome idea, please keep us posted. Also, there are many websites devoted to getting these f***kers, make sure you stop by a few of them, and give them more ideas. There are many good people out there who dont know this is a scam, and cannot afford to get ripped off... Sean A-18 --- Svantwuyver wrote:

I read an article yesterday about this company. Apparently scammers can steal money from you just by taking the account and routing number from the bottom of your checks, then printing checks through this company. Check it out: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7914159 Scary.
