How did you guys spend Valentine's Day ? Flowers, candy, maybe for another
person ? Dinner, lovemaking, possibly with another person ?

Bogdan-
I have a KLR love story for you. In September, I bought myself a KLR
through eBay. Although I have been riding for 15 years, in the last couple
of years, I'd been riding less and less. My brother, who has a KLR, got me
intrigued with the idea of a dual-sport and I decided that I'd give it a try
and if I didn't ride that, I'd sell it and the other bikes, too.
I picked up the bike and liked it. I started to ride a little more, and
read this list and the forum, the FAQs and the other required KLR reading.
I got interested in making some repairs and upgrades to my KLR.
Well, I introduced myself to this list and had several very nice welcoming
e-mails. Then, I posted to the list for a St. Louis doohickey party. I had
several nice e-mails from guys in the area, and the party plans began to
take shape. One very nice man offered to have the party at his house, and
we talked a few times to make plans for the party.
After the successful doohickey party, I began riding with the guys I met.
The nice man and I continued to talk often and I began to realize that I
liked him.
Soon, the nice man asked me for a date. We had dinner and we talked late
into the night. We found out that we have a lot in common besides
motorcycling.
Since then, the nice man and I have spent almost every weekend together. If
the weather is nice, we go riding with his very nice friends, who ride like
stank and know every twisty road and great eatery in the area!
This past weekend, we traveled together to Chicago to see the International
Motorcycle Show, since the show wasn't coming to St. Louis. We spent all
day shopping for motorcycle accessories, sitting on motorcycles and talking
about motorcycles.
Some people might think that spending Valentine's weekend looking at
motorcycles wouldn't be very romantic, but I knew you guys would understand.
Man, I love my KLR !
