No cutting involved. You just follow the wires under the rear fender where they plug into little bullet connectors. 1. Unplug the bullet connectors 2. Unscrew the nut on the inside of the stalk 3. Thread the wires out through the fender, the nut, and the rack Presto! MarkB

My bullet connectors are under the seat. Also it was a biatch to feed 2 feet of that black sleeve enclosing the wires, through the mounting nut for the stalk! Even more of a pain to feed them back under the seat! Where are you relocating them to? I got tired of breakin the rears and just replaced them all with shortys in the stock location. Been raining for weeks here in the Northwest. 40's too. Today I went for a rainsoaked 3 hour ride, as the garage opened, the sun came out. God sign having God on your team like that. Roads still soaked. Rode and rode, some real wet roads and muddy backroads. Coming home, there is a set of twisties, real nice ones too. Sure enough, both tracks were bone dry. It was two miles, but let me tell you it was the funnest two miles in a long time. I guess I am an old duffer, but it's the little things that make me happy... No cutting of wires. There is a Molex-style connector under the seat (one for each of the two wires that goes to the turn signal). Pull off the seat, unplug the wires, and then you can spin the turn signal right off. -E
