advice re: stock handlebar replacement w/renthal aluminum bars

Hello list, Just received my latest package from Arrowhead with Renthal aluminum handlebars. There are a couple of posts here that I saved regarding this removal/replacement procedure. Before I start this project, would someone confirm my understanding of the procedure and/or supply any additional details: 1. Drill out (to enlarge) the internal diameter of the Renthal bars to accomodate the bar end weights? 2. Use an exacto knife or similar item to cut off the ends of the gel grips? Is this necessary, or can I just cut a hole on the ends large enough to hold the bar end weights? Thanks for all responses, Norberto [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
