I used black spray paint on mine. The local Pep Boys carries Plasti-Kote paint - I used black gloss bumper paint - made for the flexible plastic bumper guards on cars. It works well, I coated it with a clear coat after the black (Plasti-Kote clear). I have the 2003 model graphics but decided just to tape off the existing graphics and they look pretty good. Is this how the one KLR I've seen on the net did his? Can't remember the link, think it was off of the FAQ, but it looked like he had sprayed the Handguards, tank and rack. Denis
