Why doesn't someone volunteer to pick up all of the lines that people have thought of for the t-shirts and then do a poll on them, then we can give the guy who wants to make em some idea of what we actually want (no I'm not volunteering :-) Trev

I do screenprinting and I can also make individual, custom t-shirts using your own photo or design. Ahhhhh.....here we go........ Kathleen, I'd wager that if you came up with a nice one, there'd be a few buyers (I'm one) out here. Contest for best design, and winner gets a free one? We all get a nice, reasonably priced garment representing our beloved ride, and you get several orders for a little run. Put aside a few for late orders and/or collectors. Mark Van Horn did up a nice shirty for his NOAB '04 that all participants got.....it went over well. At least my X-large went over my belly well. Steve The Mule A17

To all who wrote regarding t-shirts: The custom photo t-shirts can only be printed on a special shirt that comes in white or gray. I can't say I really like how the gray shirts turn out. This process, unlike screenprinting, actually dyes the fiber of the shirts; it won't ever crack or peel and will probably outlast the shirt as far as fade. Screenprinting: I have a six-color press, and I am in the process of learning/mastering a new (to me) program that does color seperations that look very realistic; almost like a photo. A contest sounds good; and yes, the winner would get a free shirt. Steve, are you volunteering to run a contest? Kathleen-(Irish Kate?)- Sure, if I'm the winner? [;-)} Hmm. Nothing's easy. I don't know anything about shirt printing. Perhaps an update from you when you've got the new screenprinting thing down and suggest the best way to go. Seems to me the custom photo process is limiting (no color shirts? no combining with non-photo designs like lettering or logos?). It's just that with a greasy dirty hands-on bunch like us a white t-shirt would get un-white quick. Steve The Mule A17

klr650 key

I recently purchased a 2002 KLR that was a theft recovery - no keys. The dealer had his 'key man' work on making a key for several hours that would fit the ignition, gas cap and helmet lock. They finally gave up and ordered me the whole set through Kawasaki. I take it as a tough task to make them. -----Original Message----- From: terencebuie@... [mailto:terencebuie@...] Sent: Thursday, August 05, 2004 9:26 AM To: DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com Subject: [DSN_klr650] KLR650 key I've just bought a KLR650 and there's no key. I took it to a locksmith and he wasn't able to get the key pattern off the gas cap or helmet lock. It's now at the local Kawasaki dealer for a tune- up. Anyone have suggestions about replacing the key? List sponsored by Dual Sport News at www.dualsportnews.com.
