[dsn_klr650] 3 hours and still can't get it started????????

Post by Guy B. Young II - COG Tech Ed » Wed Jun 09, 2004 10:28 am

Keith, Did have a thought...... Another KLR rider had a problem where the bike wouldn't start. Believe he found that one of the hoses/tubes on the carb got up against the pipe and sealed itself shut. Mine is at home, so I can't look to see which one it may be, but the vent, and the decell enrichener are two that come to mind. Guy -----Forwarded Message----- From: "Guy B. Keith, If all of that is like you say it is, I'd pull the LH cover to make sure the flywheel hasn't come loose and 'jumped time.' So Bill and I worked on his KLR for quite a while today and we are stumped, stupified and sick of racking our brains. We need the help of the almighty KLR list!

I was browsing through the cycle trader and found this. It's in the Pacific Northwest Area. http://adcache.cycletrader.com/5/5/3/72930253.htm I don't know about the rest of ya, but $3,895.00 for a KLR650 with only 3,800 miles on it sounds very good. Stuart Law Dutch Harbor AK ps if I find another deal like that when I come down to North Central Washington, then I'll get it. That way I'll have a Ride at both locations.
