The handlebar camparison article is not available on the DSN webpage at this time so would someone please tell me the difference between the Renthal Desert bars and the Renthal CR bend bars and how they compare with the stock bars? How do those of you who have them like them? Will my Maeir (sp?) handguards fit on the Renthals? Thank you,

The desert bars I got from Fred measure about 33-3/8". As I recall, the rise is a bit more than the stocker, and the sweep is about the same. Don't know about the CR's. Alohas, Larry [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

I must have gotten the "CR" bars. I ordered them off e-bay ("won" them??) and they were tiny little things that I thought would be next to useless for muscling around the bik KLR. I took them off. For some reason I seem to collect handlebars. I have those, a set of unmounted heli-bars for the gixer and a set of Woodcraft Clip-ons for the SV 650 that I had at the beginning of the sumer. I have mounted 7/8" aluminum Renthal bars on my Y2K KLR. They are Model No. 787-01 specified for a Honda 400EX ATV. They have dimensions virtually identical to the stock bar and noticeably reduce vibration. ID is .547" and they were $84.95 in silver at a local dealer. Clint

I've used the CR-hi bend, which are similar to stock. I'm using the Yamaha Raptor bend, which is a good bit higher than stock but still works with the stock cables. DEvon Mlewishome@... wrote:

Here's a link to all the Japanese bikes. (Sorry, no 950 this year) http://www.kawasaki-motors.com/model/displacement.jsp You can still see the pics if you cancel the Japanese language installation. John --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "Mark Lewis" wrote:
