Bought a can of "PLEXUS PLASTIC CLEANER PROTECTANT & POLISH" on the
weekend. Works FABULOUS on my KLR. Polishes and PROTECTS plastic
from fading. You can use it on helmets, the windscreen, etc. I
basically polished the whole bike with it, painted parts included.
They have a web site at:
www.plexusplasticcleaner.com.
Please, no harrassing repies from probably 90% of the group who like
their bikes "dirty".

Its been on the shelves of better bike shops for years. Stuff works great on
visors, windscreens, and the ABS panels on most street bikes. Never thought of
trying it on KLR plastic, but I will give it a go.

Martin, Apply liberally to the seat. The result will feel like more power
and better brakes. Armorall is also a good seat dressing. This tip is not in
the faq.

Some riders avoid slippery stuff on the seat.
Something to do with less control in an emergency situation.

At work we buy this stuff called PaintGuard, its like $100 USD a
gallon and suppose to be one of the best wax/sealants avail. I took a
small amount home to see how good it works.
Put a fair amount on the semi faded plastic of my A15, at first looked
really nice, then after it dried more it did'nt do poop... now I have
semi-shiney aligator skin looking faded plastic.
Not really worried about the shine as much as just mostly want to keep
the plastic from getting really dry and cracking down the road.
